At one point in our marriage my husband asked me, "If you had to choose between me and the horses which would you choose?" I answered him with a
question of my own, "If I were to ask you to choose between me and the air you breath which would you choose?" The question never came up again.
I have had horses in my life all my life. For more than twenty years I raised Tennessee Walking Horses. In 1998 I sold my Walking Horse brood mare band and started
raising miniature horses. I am captivated by them.
For several years, we were involved with showing our miniatures on the AMHA show circuit. We no longer do that because of the time and expense involved but I felt
it necessary for a while. I believe the show ring is a proving ground for the type and quality of animal being raised on a farm and we have been honored to own some
wonderful AMHA Champions!
I still attend shows and stay in touch with friends I made that show. I believe that is necessary in order to stay up-to-date with the show ring trends and to adjust my
breeding program accordingly.
Our farm is located in the rolling hills of middle Tennessee, 50 miles southeast of Nashville.
